This is going to be a long process...this is the start, I will be updating often...It starts with white lines coming down, and then horizontal lines come from the side, making a grid. It will eventually hone in on one line and that will be the basis for the stair lines it will form.
That's all I have in pictures for now. My idea is to have the line create stairs and the names of the stars will shoot off of them. Then the stairs will reach the top and it will be a trip for your eyes with red and blue circles glore!

have you made much progress? i think that the brainstorm feature might help since you are playing with texture. Check it out.
In general - it feels like you need more time and development on this project. Be sure to commit to it this week. You should have a pretty final version by Monday.
